My Personal Experience with Black History Month

Growing up, I never fully understood the significance of Black History Month. It wasn’t until I took a course in college that I learned about the struggles and triumphs of African Americans throughout history. Now, every February, I make it a point to learn more about Black History and celebrate the achievements of those who have paved the way for future generations.
